Kenyan Law

September 22, 2009

Many people have been asking if we are adopting the children we are caring for in Kenya. While we are open to God’s leading, it is not possible for us to adopt them. Kenyan law says that you must live in Kenya and be citizens to adopt. So we will continue to care for them and love on them as we all continue to pray that Caleb, Lydia and Benjamin will be adopted quickly by a Godly, Kenyan family.

Bless ya’ll! Miss being at Lakewood and also getting to hear all of you speak on wednesdays and taking turns speaking on what God put in your hearts to minister about. I am thankful to be in Tulsa attending ORU, but do miss being at Lakewood and my church family there.
How does it work if someone wanted to adopt a child from Africa, from Kenya? It is in my heart to adopt and was wondering how people can, if there is a way? Does the family have to be born from Kenya? Can you come in from US and live there and adopt? what about people helping out with children, is there opportunities to help there?

Dr. Paul, I have been a member of Lakewood for the last four years and have always been touched by you, Jennifer and your family’s heart for others. I am praying for you and will also pray for Caleb, Lydia and Benjamin.

God bless! I will be reading often!
